North Coast Fly Fishing is offering a one day beginners fly fishing course for youths from the ages of eight to thirteen.  This course includes basic casting instruction and presenting the fly, knot tying, insect study(entomology), and fly tying.  Later that afternoon students are taken to a spring fed pond full of Rainbow trout were they can practice there new found skills by catching a trout!  The look of excitement on a child's face when they catch a trout is a great memory and could lead to a lifetime of enjoyment in the outdoors.  These days it seems that most of our youths spend more time indoors on their computers, iPhones and tv.  This course is a great way to get them interested in nature and the outdoors.  Many fly fishing camps or schools charge from eight hundred dollars to over a thousand dollars to attend.  Our course is a lot less expensive per student and, depending how many are in the course, can be as low as one hundred and twenty five dollars.  This course is offered for a minimum of two students up to a maximum of six students.  All fly tackle and flies for the day are provided at no charge.  North Coast Fly Fishing can also do a fishing party for youths at this same location.  We offer this from April until October.
