North Coast Fly Fish
Tenkara fly fishing

Tenkara fly fishing is a traditional type of fly fishing that started in Japan several hundred years ago.  Primarily used for trout fishing in streams, it is a method of fly fishing were only a rod, line and fly are used.  North Coast Fly Fishing can teach you how to fish with this method.  We have several streams in the Northbay where we can guide you.

We can also offer you a trip to the High Sierras using tenkara or regular fly tackle.  This is not a backpacking trip.  We can drive to a stream location in the Sierras that is full of wild Golden Trout.

If you have ever desired to catch California's state fish, this is by far the easiest way to do it.   If you are interested in Tenkara please contact me for further information.
